Mission Statement

The mission of the Montana Science Teachers Association is to empower teachers of science in Montana and beyond by promoting professional development opportunities for teachers and their students.

The Montana Science Teachers Association began in the mid 1980 with Ken Price elected the first president in 1985.  Since then, 17 presidents have lead the organization.  MSTA partners yearly with the Educator’s Conference hosted by the Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE).  MSTA members present professional development workshops for teachers of science K-16.  An annual keynote speaker addresses the conference. In addition to the MSTA website, the organization provides members with up-to-date professional development opportunities through a listserv.
